2.2 Graphite Dream Room
Objective
Use 1-point perspective and shading to create a dream bedroom.
1) Brainstorm: Make a list of the characteristics and contents our dream room would have.
2) Design: Roughly draw the location and design of your dream bedroom on any paper.
3) Draw your 1-point perspective grid following the directions on an 18×12 piece of paper. Block out the basic shapes in your room.
4) Trace your room on a new piece of paper, add details, and shade
Novice (50%)
Student does not complete all steps, has improper perspective, or submits work incorrectly.
Apprentice (80%)
Student completes most steps, has some incorrect perspective, or a weak attention to detail.
Master (100%)
Student completes all steps with correct 1-point perspective and a high attention to detail.
Grandmaster (Extra Credit)
Student expertly uses 2-point perspective to create a building that matches their prompt.
