2.9 Tempera Dessert
Objective
Practice painting form with color, tints, shades, and tones using tempera paint.
1) Find a color photo of your favorite dessert.
2) Plan your painting by drawing your subject on your artboard and designing your background. Will it be a gradient? Rainbow? Table?
3) After getting approval, paint your background.
4) Paint your subject with bright colors and “render” the illusion of form with tints, shades, and tones.
Novice (50%)
Student does not complete all steps, has improper rendering, or submits work incorrectly.
Apprentice (80%)
Student completes most steps, has some improper rendering, or a weak attention to detail.
Master (100%)
Student completes all steps with proper rendering and a strong attention to details.
