4.3 Animal Hybrid
Objective
Improve retouching and masking skills by making a photorealistic hybrid animal.
1) Choose two animals to combine like the examples below:
2) Find a high-resolution photo of each animal from the same angle.
The lighting should be as similar as possible. This site should help!
3) Choose your “host” animal and bring the second animal on top.
4) Mask, clone, retouch, and color-correct until complete.
Novice (50%)
Student does not complete all steps, has improper editing, or submits work incorrectly.
Apprentice (80%)
Student completes most steps, has some improper editing, or a weak attention to detail.
Master (100%)
Student completes all steps with proper editing and a strong attention to details
Grandmaster (Extra Credit)
Student expertly combines three animals in a superb image.
