1.4 Artist Spotlight
Objective
Understand art worlds and become inspired by other contemporary visual artists' styles.
1) Choose a living visual artist. First come, first served!
2) Create and share a slideshow spotlighting your choice. Your slideshow should include high quality art examples on all slides and:
- A short bio that includes their education (if you can find it)
- 5+ selected examples of their art
- Common themes of their art
- Why you personally like their art
- A quote (if you can find one)
- Links to their portfolios
Late penalties apply to presentations!
Novice (50%)
Student does not complete all steps, submits work incorrectly, or doesn't present to the class.
Apprentice (80%)
Student completes most steps and/or presents to the class without clear practice.
Master (100%)
Student completes all steps and presents to the class with confidence and practice.
