2.12 Simple Digital Landscape
Objective
Use layers, the lasso tool, custom brushes, and environmental perspective to create a landscape.
Head to Photopea.com and create a 1920×1080 pixel document.
Use the lasso, paint bucket, and brush tools to create:
- 2 Foreground Layers
- 2 Midground Layers
- 1 Mountain Layer (with simple shading)
- Clouds
- Sun/Moon
- Sky
- Custom Forest Brush
Novice (50%)
Student does not complete all steps or submits work incorrectly.
Apprentice (80%)
Student completes most steps, creates unpleasing shapes and/or has lack of atmospheric perspective.
Master (100%)
Student completes all steps with pleasing shapes and atmospheric perspective.
Grandmaster (Extra Credit)
Student expertly uses composition to create depth and uses more than required layers.
