Use soft, even lighting that wraps around the face in the studio. Avoid harsh shadows or overexposure. Take 30+ close-up photos of your subject with a variety of angles and facial expressions. |
Open your best image in Photoshop and follow the frequency separation tutorial below. Carefully clean up blemishes and blend tones without blurring skin texture. Dodge and burn the face as well. |
Photoshop: click on File > Export > Export As and select the JPG format. All exports should have the long edge equal to 2500px. |
