1.4 Composition Practice
Objective
Continue to build our Photographic Vision and practice 9 composition rules.
1) Review the Composition Rules:
- Rule of Thirds
- Leading Lines
- Diagonals
- Framing
- Figure to Ground
- Fill the Frame
- Center Dominant Eye
- Patterns and Repetition
- Symmetry
2) Take 9 photographs from our neighborhood that showcase the rules.
3) Edit them in Lightroom Classic: exposure, cropping, and presets.
Novice (50%)
Student does not complete all steps or labels the composition rules incorrectly.
Apprentice (80%)
Student completes most steps or provides unclear examples for some of the composition rules.
Master (100%)
Student completes all steps and takes clear edited examples for all of the composition rules.
Grandmaster (Extra Credit)
Student expertly combines multiple composition rules in each of the 9 examples.
