Objective

Capture 3 dramatic sports portraits using backlighting and fog to create a glowing “halo” effect that elevates the athletes' presence and power.

Choose 2 Subjects
Find 2 students on BCS athletic teams. Coordinate a time during class, lunch, office hours, or after school for them both to attend a 20-minute photo shoot in their uniforms.

Plan the Message
You will be taking a picture of the athletes with dramatic backlighting and fog effects. Do you want to convey power, mystery, excitement, determination, etc.?

Plan the Poses
Create a mood board with 5+ poses for each sport your models participate in. Find another 5+ poses for two models in the same frame (total of 15+ poses).
Paste the link to your mood board to your WordPress.com website.

With an assistant: Choose a color gel to help convey your message.
Spray some fog as needed behind the subject(s).
