1.9 Product Photos

target
Objective

Create a clean, well-composed product photo using a lightbox that could belong in a catalog or ad.

Choose 2–3 small items that visually work well together (jewelry, tech, toys, ceramics, etc.). These should have either a shared purpose, aesthetic, or mood. Think of the group as a designed product set, not just random objects.

Create a mood board with 5+ example product images to take inspiration from. Look for interesting composition, placement, color, and angles.

Arrange your objects in the lightbox with intention. Use foreground and background placement, spacing, and alignment to create a clean composition. Try both centered and off-center compositions.

Use a tripod or steady surface. Shoot in manual or aperture-priority mode.

Edit your best 2+ photos in Photoshop. Focus on: – White balance (make whites neutral) – Clarity and sharpness – Cropping for clean framing

Remove any dust or imperfections with healing tools.

Photoshop: click on File > Export > Export As and select the JPG format.
All exports should have the long edge equal to 2500px.

Upload your final 2+ photos into a gallery block on your WordPress.com website.

Below, describe your item selection, the aesthetic you were aiming for, and what decisions you made in the design and editing process to achieve it.
