target
Objective

Express yourself through a creative self-portrait.

Getting over self-consciousness can be difficult but the process of being both creator and subject is a great artistic practice.

1) Decide how you want to portray yourself. The only rules are that you are in the shot and it is school-appropriate.

2) Find a location that has good light and supports the mood you want to convey.

3) Take your self-portraits (no selfies!)

  1. Set up your camera on a tripod, chair table, etc.
  2. Find a stand-in (person, pillow, mop, etc.) for you to test lighting and manual exposure settings.
  3. Take test shots, get the focus correct.
  4. Set the timer or remote and jump into position.
  5. Have fun as you take photos!

4) Retouch and edit creatively.
